Working with the Curtis Opera in Philadelphia, we re-imagined Sweeney Todd, Sondheim’s classic tale of Victorian London to highlight its penny dreadful roots. Referencing B-movies and grind core, our tiled-basement set literally bled down its walls as the violence increased.
